Audience Research- Focus Group Film

  1. How do you stay safe online? All participants said that they keep their passwords private and that they change their privacy settings to ensure complete protection.
  2. What do you think is the best way to stay safe? They had different views which were to keep passwords private, to not give out any details about yourself and for parents to help protect children by keeping them off certain websites.
  3. What do you think websites should do to attract people of our age group? All believed that bright colours should be added and also for interactive features to be used. One volunteer said that websites should use simple language which would help children to understand the content.
  4. Do you think 16- 30 year olds still go on anti-bullying websites? A majority of the group believed that this age range would have grown up and wouldn't need help to solve an issue. However a point was brought up about that there isn't an actual age where you grow up from being bullied, it can happen at any age.
  5. If no, why do you think this is? They believed that people were grown up enough to deal with the problem themselves.
  6. If you could set up a website to advise people to stay safe, what would you do? E.g. the layout, colours, use of pictures? If they could create a website on how to stay safe they would have a video explaining the top tips to stay safe online, use a range of statistics on the consequences of cyberbullying, they would use bright colours and visual aids to attract the audience.

Audience Research- Questionnaire Results (Pie Charts)

These are pie charts that I created which represent my results from the questionnaires that I devised.
