Role Description- Paint Ident
For this ident I will be directing where the paints will be placed in which part of the ident and I will also control the sound and music, I must make sure that it links with the pattern of the ident so it makes sense to the viewer. By using music in a ident it makes the ident more professional and the audience will find it catchy and so they will remember the ident and therefore the channel. Clare will be controlling the camera and making sure that the camera will be capturing the correct shot types which we planned. She will also control the lighting to ensure that the audience is visible for the audience.
Role Description- Kitchen Ident
For the Kitchen ident Clare will be controlling the camera and making sure that all the relevant props are visible in the ident. She will also find and control the music because the ident may come across as confusing to the audience if the music does not link with the images. I must control the lighting by making sure artificial is enhanced if the ident needs more light or to reduce the amount of the light if it doesn't need any enhancement. I will also direct the positions of the props because I have the most knowledge on the ident due to the fact that I created it. We will edit the ident to ensure that it looks right and to a professional standard.
Role Descriptions- Sparkler Ident
For this ident Clare will control the sound because she can then determine when to put this in so it doesn't clash with the narrator speaking. She will also be filming and she must make sure that the sparkler is in shot throughout the ident. My role for the ident will be dictating where the prop will be, I must get this right because the sparkler must be clear to see by the viewer because if it is not, then the ident will not be successful because it could be blurry. Once again, both of us will edit the ident and this ident will take the most editing because some parts of it might be unclear and so we must make it more captivating for the audience. Even though we're filming this outside, Clare must make sure that the main prop is focused on the screen and we must avoid filming near any light sources as this will ruin the ident.
Music for Idents.
This music will be played for the playground ident because of the upbeat, lively music will attract the viewer and so the audience will be captivated to their screens which will endorse them to watch the upcoming program. Due to this music being copyright free, this will make the ident more unique because the target audience would not have heard the music before. A narrator will be talking over the music to inform the audience about what program will be played next on the channel.
The ident which this music will be played for will be the painting ident. The music for this ident is fast paced and energetic, in hope that it will make the ident interesting and exciting. As the ident will come across as lively and playful, this will make the audience want to watch the ident and so more people will be attracted to the channel. Once again, this music is copyright free meaning that the audience will see the channel as being original.
This music will be used for the kitchen ident because it is slow paced and soothing and usually a domestic kitchen is full of relaxation and tranquility. The copyright free music captures this mood the best due to its soft, flowing beat. Also the ident is stop motion and with the motion hopefully flowing, this will link well with the music included. By making the audience more aware with the programmes on the channel, a narrator will be speaking over the ident to make this information clear for them.
The last piece of music which has been chosen is this one, and this will be used for the sparkler ident. For this ident, the prop must link with the music to gain a goof correlation between them to make the ident seem calm and relaxing, so this is why this music has been used because it creates a subtle tone to the ident. To make the ident have a sense of professionalism, a narrator will speak over the ident to make the audience aware of the programmes which are forthcoming. This music is copyright free and this makes the ident more attractive to the relevant target audience because it is unique and genuine.
Role Descriptions- Playground Ident
For this ident, I will control the camera because all the camera shots must be exactly the same throughout. Clare O'Mara will be directing where the props will go because she designed this ident. Together we will be deciding what sounds or music will be used for this ident. Furthermore, when we have completed this ident both of us will edit the ident and this lets us control what we want to take out or enhance to make it exactly how we wanted it. By editing the ident, we can make it more professional.
On Screen Graphics
This is the end point of the graphic which shows the paint spread into four different lines. The colours symbolise fun and excitement and hopefully this will attract the young audience.
I decided to use these colour's because they are bright and this will capture the audience's attention. The graphic is detailed which shows that the ident is busier and full of action which will once again capture the audience.

Location Post- Painting Ident
This ident will be filmed in Glenthorne High School, ideally in an art classroom within the school. Generally, art is done within one of these rooms and this is why we will be filming this ident here. We have chosen to film here because of the accessibility to the room and also the space. Due to the lighting, if we need an enhancement of it, we can always turn them on or even off. To make sure no one trips over the chairs, we must tuck them underneath the tables. Also there could be other art equipment in the room which could be sharp or dangerous and so we will need to take care when moving them. The props we need to use are, different colour paints (preferably four different colours) and a paintbrush which will be used to spread the coloured paints.
Logo Screen Grabs- VIP
I started to create this logo design by importing a picture of a cork from the internet and putting it into photoshop.
I then created a custom shape of this cork by going around the perimeter of it with the pen tool
I done the exact same thing with the top of this champagne bottle and this picture was imported from photoshop.
This was then dragged into the transparent template I created and colour was added to the custom shapes to make them more realistic.
I then downloaded a font from a website called 'dafont' and started to write the letters of my radio station.
Next, I added an 'I' but it wasn't placed next to the other letter because I wanted to add the effect of the letters coming out of the bottle.

I then placed the last letter a little further down to reinforce the exploding effect in which I wanted to portray.
An image of a cartoon champagne bottle was imported from the internet.
I then used the pen tool to go around the champagne so I could add this effect to my design.
I then made a custom shape of the exploding champagne and put it into my logo design.
After I made the custom shape, I added colour to it and this completed my logo design.

This is the completed logo for VIP and I added the company name to the design to give it an identity. To create this logo, I used an orange custom shape of a circle without the middle and then I wrote Ow! Music in the space to brand the design.

I imported an image from the internet and created a custom shape of it, this was then added to my template.

I decided to get rid of the extended lines on the heart beat because the logo looked too big.
I used the eraser to rub out one of the lines to make it seem smaller. This was then done to the other side of the heart beat to try and make it look symmetrical.I then placed it next to the word 'pulse' to ake it link together.

I added colour to the heart beat to make it link with my other logo designs.
This is my completed logo for Pulse, I added the company logo to the design to make it look more professional. This was created by using a orange custom shape of a circle without the middle so it just had the edge. I then wrote Ow! Music within it, this whole small logo design was quite simplistic.

I will describe the health and safety issues, where the location is and what equipment I need to create the ident.
The location of the ident will be in Glenthorne High School, in one of the courts because the size of them are vast and this means that we can use whatever space and whatever size prop. The equipment I will use will be two basketballs and two chairs. However when using these props, we must be careful to not trip over them. To reduce tripping over them, we will make sure the basketballs are stationary also, we must stand on the chairs properly to avoid falling over them. Furthermore, due to the time in which we will be filming this ident will be during the day, the lighting will be natural.

Logo Screen Grabs- Lock
To start with, I created a transparent background of A4 size. I then imported a picture of a guitar and created a custom shape of this.I used the pen tool to go around the edge of the guitar very carefully and eventually I created a custom shape.

Using the paint bucket tool, I filled the shape with a yellow colour because it is bright and it would therefore attract the audience. I then used the ellipse shape tool to add some detail to the guitar and these shapes would form the buttons.
I then used some black lines and a rectangle shape to add further detail to the guitar and this made it look more realistic.
To add a bit of understanding to the logo, I used the ellipse tool again and varied the composition and size of them to represent a keyhole. This links with the name of the logo which is Lock.
I then imported an image of a key and used the pen tool to create a custom shape of it. This would be the front of the guitar pick which would make the design more clearer for the audience.
I imported a typical guitar pick and used the pen tool to follow the edge of the picture to create a custom shape.
This was coloured in red because the link between the family of logos would be the colour so I had to make sure this theme would be portrayed throughout.

This is my completed logo with the logo of the company Ow! Music. To create the logo I used an orange custom shape of a circle without the middle and this created the edge of the logo. This post will explain the location and the health and safety issues for my kitchen ident.

Also, the work surfaces are very large and this makes it easier to spread the objects around on the table and it would actually look like the forks, spoons and knives have climbed from the floor onto the table, but if I filmed it on a smaller surface, the movement would look cramped and unconventional. As I will be filming during the day, the lighting will be natural and this will make the ident look much more realistic and fresh. Whereas, if we had artificial lighting the ident would look fake due to the lighting.
In order to set up my ident I need five forks and knives, four spoons and spatulas and two chairs which will be used at the beginning of the ident. Also I will need a camera to capture the stop motion which I intend to do. So, compared to other idents, there isn't a lot of equipment which I need to set up. As I am using knives I will have to take care when handling these as it could cut me, whenever I move the knives, I will have to hold the handle because the knives will be sharp. Another health and safety issue is that I will have to stand on a chair in order to get the birds eye view shot but my partner will have to hold the chair to stop it from shaking.

OW! Music Series of Logos
For the radio station 'Lock' the genre of music associated with this station is heavy rock metal. This is because a conventional lock is made out of heavy metal and this perfectly links with this type of music.
The target audience would be aimed at 28 to around 62-year-olds as heavy rock metal could relate to this age range. Without being too specific, I would aim this radio station at "head bangers" as this is their preference of music.
The type of companies that would advertise on my channel would be gig offers and vehicle adverts but more larger vehicles such as lorries, pickup trucks and vans. This is because such large vehicles can be associated with heavy metal, due to the size and power of them.
My designs reflect these ideas because of the boldness and the colour of them link to heavy metal. The colour of the lock is grey which is the typical colour of metal. Also the size and boldness of the lock suggests heaviness and density.
The type of music related to the radio station 'Pulse' is drum and bass. The reason behind this is that a pulse always has a beat and so does drum and bass music.
The target audience that I would like to aim this radio station at is youths, aged between 16-24. This music is regularly played in clubs and this age group would have interest in this genre as they would be familiar with the sound.
The advertising that would occur on my radio station would be blood donor adverts, hospital information and other heart related adverts because this is quite clichéd towards blood and it links to the word 'pulse'. To attract the age group, I would advertise sport details and lively day to day information.
My logos reflect my ideas fir this channel as they're sharp and quirky which can link to the age group. In addition, the colours represent blood, linking with pulse.

The type of adverts that will be played are ones that relax but inform the listener. A dense amount of information will be given to allow the listener to be aware and up to date with recent news stories.
The logos I designed for this station reflects my ideas as they show class and sophistication through the style but also the colour of red, yellow and green. Colours that show weath, power and dominance. I hope these interpretations came across with my radio station ideas.

Ideas for Idents
These are the initial ideas of the idents but these have changed and adapted after new ideas came to mind. However, all the ideas have the same intention, and this is to endorse the audience to watch the channels in which these idents will be played before. The first and third ident will have a fast tempo and this will appeal to the younger audience because of the upbeat, jerky style whereas the second ident will be slow paced and this will be played before a serious programme and it will be aimed at a more older audience because of the sophistication which will be needed to interpret the style of programme.
The target audience for this ident will be aimed at the youth and energetic side of today's society. For example, the age will range between 18 to 22 year olds because these people usually attend parties and they're full of energy and fun. I decided to use them as a target audience due to the ident being about parties and fun. So I thought this would be the best age range to target. The Grid has a young quirky identity and with the fast tempo and futuristic feel which I wanted to portray for this ident will be ideal to capture the mass audience for young adults.
The target audience which I will try to aim this ident at is more sophisticated people, maybe between the ages of 23 to 27 year olds because the programme which will be played after the ident will be a chat show and these are the types of people who will be able to handle the situations the most maturely. As the TV channel is aimed at youth, the ident which will be played before it will have calm, tranquil music with information played about the upcoming programme to remind them how serious the topics will be. Therefore, this mature age range will be able to respect the difficulties which the people will face.
