Budgeting

As well as planning my advertisement there are some fundamental things that have to be done before I even contemplate filming it. I will have to have an idea on the prices for a range of things like the equipment that I will need to use but also the price of hiring actors for my advert. I will conduct comprehensive research to find out the cost of the following:

• To hire equipment such as a camera/ tripod
• Location hire
• Talent hire 
• Editing hire

This research will have to be completed a long time before I start the filming process as I will have to have knowledge on the best prices for each one.

I have researched a variety of different cameras and their prices and these are my results.

I have found a range of different prices for Canon DSLR cameras which vary in price. However I also researched Nikon DSLR cameras to give me the opportunity to compare the two styles and the prices as well.

In addition, I will have to hire a tripod in order to stabilise the camera and it will therefore create a better quality of shot. This is what my research consisted of:

 After this, I researched the cost to hire an actor to appear in my advert and these are the results:

This piece of research was very difficult to find but I managed to get some figures on how much an actor would cost.

Lastly, I researched the cost to hire a location. I intend to film my advert in my local high school but I was unsuccessful in my attempts to find quotes on the price to hire some rooms. However, I have managed to find some prices to hire rooms at different schools.

I am hoping that these prices to hire in two different schools are very similar to the cost to hire in my local high school and if so, it is a very reasonable price which is manageable.
