The genre of these five music videos is pop and they were all popular in 2013. The conventions of these music videos are all very similar but they're portrayed very differently. Usually the costumes that are worn, represent the personality of the singer. There is also a lot of dancing that occurs throughout the music videos. The dance moves are exaggerated but they portray fun and enjoyment. Furthermore, to add an interaction with the audience music videos have various camera angles but especially close ups. The music videos usually follows a story of which is being sung about and the video is set in a place that links with the song. Lastly, in all music videos there is a lot going on and the camera films other things and not just the singer singing down the lens of the camera.
